Sauska Winery

The winery is located between Rátka and Mád, with Padi Hill made unique by two buildings, each shaped like a 36-meter diameter bowl. The winery's building is inseparable from its surroundings, forming a unified entity that offers a stunning vista. Part of the building is above ground, while the operational areas are located underground.
In this project, our company primarily executed the installation of exterior and interior aluminium window structures. One of the largest structures during the construction was the curtain wall of the tank room, made from the SCHÜCO FWS 50 aluminium curtain wall system, with double-layer insulated glass panels.
A distinctive feature of the building is the top and bottom clamped glass wall structure, which provides maximum light transmission and views, bounding the exterior facade of the winery spaces without vertical divisions. This design lends an airy quality to the two bowl-shaped roofs covering the winery spaces, making them appear to almost float above the building, seamlessly blending into the landscape.
