We are proud that HAJDU-ALU Zrt. had the opportunity to contribute as a subcontractor to the construction of the Sauska Winery in Rátka, which was awarded the Construction Industry Award of Excellence in 2025 in the category of “Agricultural Building.”

 

With its distinctive architectural and technical solutions, the award-winning building has become one of the defining new winery facilities in the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region. As part of the project, our company contributed to the realization of the architectural concept with custom aluminium and glass structural solutions.

One of the key elements of the design concept was the creation of large, uninterrupted glass surfaces without visible divisions. These glass structures provide a transparent and lightweight separation of the interior spaces while also meeting modern requirements for thermal, acoustic and water insulation.

One of the main technical challenges of the construction was that the glass panels had to function independently from the structural movements of the steel structure supporting the building’s curved upper shell. To meet this requirement, the fixing system was specifically designed and manufactured for this project. The glazing was installed with a bottom-fixed support and a flexible upper connection, ensuring both the technical reliability of the structure and the clean, uninterrupted appearance envisioned by the architectural concept.
